KEPPRA- TO XEI ΠΑΡΕΙ ΚΑΝΕΙΣ??

Ειναι ενα καινουργιο ψυχοdrug (αντιεπιληπτικο αρα κ σταθεροποιητικο απ ο,τι καταλαβα) το εχει υποψιν του κανεις?? Το εχει παρει καποιος να μας πει experiences???

Απ ο,τι ειδα δεν εχει κ τοσες παρενεργειες, πιο αναλυτικα τα λεει εδω :

Ειναι αντιεπιληπτικο και μια ματια που εριξα στα γρηγορα στη wiki λεει:

Levetiracetam has potential benefits for other psychiatric and neurologic conditions such as Tourette syndrome, autism, bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder, but its most serious adverse effects are behavioral and its benefit-risk ratio in these conditions is not well understood

Δηλαδη δεν νομιζω να χρησιμοποιειται αλλου οπως στην διπολικη.

Ναι, μαλλον σε διπολικη (κ κατι για αγχωδη διαταραχη γραφει αλλα δεν νομιζω τοσο, για εκει συνηθως δινουν αλλα..)

Το χει παρει κανενας?? Ειναι σχετικα καινουργιο νομιζω....

Keppra - A 2003 German open study of 10 bipolar patients found that adding the novel anticonvulsant Keppra (levetiracetam) to Haldol resulted in moderate improvements to mania scores during the first two weeks of the study. Symptoms worsened when the drug was discontinued, and improved, with seven of ten responding by day 28, when the drug was recontinued.
A 2004 UCB Pharma open-label trial of 200 bipolar patients (ages five to 69) on the anticonvulsant Keppra found that "efficacy was good in roughly 50 percent of patients and partial in an additional 20 percent." Sedation occurred in nine percent of the sample and was the cause of four percent dropping out.
